Our Vision

Our ultimate vision for Hampshire Hills is to create a holiday home owners’ park with a range of experiential holiday homes set around a natural swimming pool. Holiday home owners are able to use their holiday home all year around and have access to park managed concierge services so holiday time can be maximised with recharging & relaxing in nature rather than cleaning & washing sheets.

This vision derives it roots from many of our life experiences to date and especially from time spent living in Cape Town, South Africa for many years.

This has helped us (and many others) realise that time spent in nature and close up with amazing wildlife is extremely beneficial for improving humans overall health & wellness.

The South Africa inspiration
Much of the inspiration for the ultimate vision for Hampshire Hills has come from owning a holiday home on an eco-country estate situated on the Theewaterskloof Dam which is located c. 2 hours outside of Cape Town.

Eco-country estate – c. 2 hours drive from Cape Town

This eco-country estate appeals to (mostly) residents of Cape Town who can buy a personalised holiday home which is a 2 hour drive away from their busy lives in Cape Town – that distance being far enough for them to feel they have escaped into nature but yet not so far as to be a burden.

The eco-estate offers amazing panoramic views of water, countryside & mountains whilst a fascinating range of wildlife lives all around.

Holiday home owners can retreat into nature whenever they get the urge – whether that be because a mid-week business meeting in Cape Town got cancelled or whether they just fancied time out alone (to get more work done?) or with friends n family to recharge their batteries.

Some holiday homes are owned by multiple families for shared use with the added advantage of being able to share the cost burden of holiday home ownership between more co-owners.

Inspiration drawn from other health & wellness brands
Within the UK, we’ve watched how brands like Unplugged & Unyoked (and others) have created loyal following from individuals and couples wanting to book 3 night stays deep in nature to help them get away from their busy lives. A twist on this is the provision of a phone lock box to encourage a digital detox and more time to be spent on walks, board games, reading, cooking, etc.. These companies do not own the land nor planning permissions which would enable then to sell cabins under a holiday home ownership model – and so the offer is simply short term holiday stays only bookable via their websites.

Location, Location, Location
Our time spent living in Cape Town offered us views, views and more views. Trying to repeat that in England and within a short distance of London was always going to prove incredibly difficult (and £pricey!) to achieve.

So we consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have managed to find and acquire Hampshire Hills location with its existing planning for 21 all year round holiday unit permissions.

The idea for offering a range of holiday homes to buy which would include homes that were very much experiential (aka quirky) derived itself from our experiences of living on the South Coast of England near Bournemouth. Specifically, beach huts located on Mudeford Sandbank near to Christchurch. These beach huts sit on BCP council owned land and typically have no water/electric/sewage connections (beach hut owners use the communal shower & toilet block); are sold under an annual licence (permitting owners to site their beach huts on the council owned land); no night time use permitted for 4 months of the year – despite some of these apparent drawback, beach huts regularly achieve sales prices of c. £400,000 (with highest achieved being well over £600,000). You’ll find them advertised by estate agents and on Rightmove, OnTheMarket & Zoopla portals – go take a look! As much as it may seem ‘crackers’ on first glance that colourful off-grid sheds (aka beach huts) would sell for £400,000 or more, it does however appear to support the growing appreciation that time spent in amazing natural locations is great for improving humans’ health & wellness.

Beach Huts at Mudeford Sandbank, Christchurch in Dorset – c. 2.5 hours drive from London

We think Hampshire Hills is equally a truly outstanding location and yet close enough to London such that a retreat into nature for holiday home owners is more easily assessable – including on a last minute whim!

What makes Hampshire Hills unique?

Limited availability — only 20 retreat units will be sold, making this an exclusive opportunity.

Thoughtful siting — the plan is to place the 20 units well spaced around the park perimeter so each unit enjoys panoramic views across the natural swimming pool planned at the centre and the surrounding South Downs landscape.

Secure and quiet — Hampshire Hills is a multi‑award winning gated park designed as a secure, quiet retreat that enables deep immersion in nature.

Rich wildlife — resident and visiting species include lavender guinea fowl, barn owls, red kites and many more, offering restorative encounters with nature.

Accessible yet remote — located within one hour of London, close to fast trains to Winchester from London Waterloo, yet far enough to feel like a genuine escape.

Local charm — the nearest town is the Georgian market town of Alresford, with its colourful high street, upmarket cafés and restaurants, and the ornamental Watercress Line station.

Future plans to add a natural swimming pool
Subject to obtaining planning, we hope to be able to install a natural swimming pool in the centre of the planned 20 retreats – so that each retreat owner has views of the natural swimming pool and ease of access to it for daily swims & dips.

We’ve already had some designs commissioned by specialist natural swimming pool designers and installers.

Private individual or Corporate ownership?
We permit either.

Ownership and use
Corporates can buy a customized retreat unit for exclusive year‑round use. Ownership includes access to a bespoke range of concierge services to support bookings, catering, wellbeing programming and maintenance. Organisations may choose to open their unit to staff from partner suppliers or customers, extending wellbeing benefits across their ecosystem.

Maintaining the retreat experience
To protect the peaceful character of the park and the wellbeing of all guests, Hampshire Hills operates with quiet‑focused park rules:

  • No noise policy from 10pm to 7am.
  • Strictly adult‑only.
  • No dogs or pets allowed.
  • No visitors permitted to owner units.
  • CCTV monitoring of entrance and car park and onsite wardens ensure smooth, secure operation for everyone’s benefit.

A pioneering, limited offering
This model — individuals or corporates owning dedicated retreat units within a secure, nature‑first park — is pioneering for the UK.

For Corporates
For corporates, this is a strategic chance for forward‑thinking organisations to secure a long‑term asset that supports staff health, team cohesion and corporate culture.

Workplace wellbeing is no longer a perk — it’s a strategic investment in productivity, retention and resilience. Owning a dedicated retreat unit gives organisations a private, secure place where teams can unplug, reset and reconnect with nature. Regular, immersive time away from screens and schedules supports mental health, reduces burnout and improves creativity and collaboration.

If your organisation is exploring meaningful, long‑term investments in employee wellbeing and resilience, Hampshire Hills presents a distinctive, limited opportunity.

For Individuals
This is an opportunity to invest further into your own health & wellness.

Visit all year around; store your mountain bike & trainers in your retreat; time to get work down whilst taking in the views all around or to spend quality time away from your work.

Cycle paths & footpaths galore and all around.

Quaint cafes everywhere and village pubs.

If you are interested in further investing into your own health and wellness, Hampshire Hills presents a distinctive, limited opportunity with many benefits for you to achieve this.
